Integration & Compatibility Guide

Our timers are generated as standard animated GIFs. They are universally supported and work flawlessly in 99% of email clients.

Design & Generate

* Windows Outlook Limitation: Desktop versions of Outlook for Windows (2007-2019) do not support animated GIFs. They will safely fallback to displaying the very first frame of the timer (showing the correct time the email was opened) but will not tick down live.

** Apple Mail Privacy Protection (iOS 15+): Due to Apple's privacy features caching images, the timer will display the time remaining based on when Apple's proxy servers first loaded the email, which may differ slightly from the exact moment of opening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work in Dark Mode?

Yes! Since the timer is rendered as an image file, the custom colors you select will stay exactly the same regardless of the user's device settings or dark mode preferences.

What happens when the timer hits zero?

The animation stops gracefully. The timer will stay at 00:00:00:00, or if you configured an "Expiration Message" in the generator, it will display that text instead.

Why does the time look wrong in the preview?

The static preview image on the setup screen is cached for performance. The actual HTML code you paste into your email is entirely dynamic and will always calculate the correct time when opened.

Can I put it in an automated flow?

Absolutely. Use our Evergreen Timer mode for abandoned cart flows or welcome series. It will generate a unique deadline for every single subscriber based on when they receive it.
